Welcome to the Freedom and Choice Portal

Articles | Software | Ubuntu

This site is dedicated to informing people of the alternatives to Commercial software and Operating Systems. Many people do not realise that they do have choice. We are not trying to persuade you to switch from commercial software, if that software fits your needs and you are happy with its software license. The goal here is simply to promote choice, and if your choice is to use proprietary or commercial software, then that is great.

I hope that visitors will learn that there is a huge movement dedicated to bringing free and open software and formats to specialists as well as the masses. See the Wiki entry for Free Software (as opposed to freeware). The aim here is to promote and contribute to people's freedom to choose, and freedom to use computer software and digital formats with little or no restriction.
